I hope this email finds you in good health. 

You would very happy to know that one of our Churches in the villages of Sacred Heart Parish was consecrated by His Excellency Dr. Bishop Joseph Arshad (Bishop of Faisalabad Diocese) on 2nd December 2017. The name of this new Church is St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church which was built in Chak No. 354 JB Qadirabad. People of this village were waiting since a long time for their own Church to pray and worship. With a humble support from the Diocese and the local contribution we were able to build this Church. The construction work was completed earlier this year.

 

Our beloved Bishop was warmly welcomed by the Christian community of the village. Children performed on a welcome song to welcome their Bishop in the village. After welcome, the new Church was blessed by the Bishop including the Church building, Bible kept in the Church, Crucifix and at the end the Church keys were given to Rev Fr. Simon Khurshid (Parish Priest).

 

After the Church blessing, Thanksgiving Mass was offered for this awesome blessing for the village people. During the Holy Mass, More than 300 children were blessed with the Sacrament of Confirmation. These children were also given Rosaries to strengthen their Faith and to seek blessings of Mother Mary. At the end of the Mass, people shared their love with their Bishop and everyone was served with Lunch.
